As a member of the Organization of Catholic Universities of America and the Caribbean (ODUCAL), ULADECH Catholic was present at the XX Intermediate General Assembly held in the city of Salta, Argentina.
The academic vice-rector, José Elías Plasencia Latour, participated in the meeting that brought together rectors, vice-rectors and representatives of the different member universities of ODUCAL.
The event took place on November 15, 16 and 17 at the headquarters of the Catholic University of Salta, Argentina.
During the Assembly, three keynote lectures and four new mechanisms were presented (Global Educational Pact, Working Group on Peace and Democracy, Digitalization of Universities, Scientific Research Group) as well as the presentation of the Master’s Degree in Christian Social Leadership.
There was also a Seminar and Workshop of the Internationalization Network and a presentation by the International Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC).
Rodolfo Gallo Cornejo, as well as Dr. Isabel Capeloa Gil, Professor of Cultural Studies at the School of Human Sciences, Rector of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) and President of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC), who urged the promotion of a more sustainable and intellectually solid global educational agenda together with a prosperous, egalitarian and inclusive society.
This meeting was a great opportunity to connect with professionals at the highest level, as well as to seek strategies to improve, among all, the education system.
