In an emotional ceremony held at the Convention Center of the Universidad Católica Los Ángeles de Chimbote, 54 students of the last cycles of the Professional School of Psychology received their pins to start their pre-professional internships.
The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College of Psychologists, Dr. Julia Hidalgo Vega; the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Catholic ULADECH, Dr. Nélida Cantuarias Noriega; the Academic Vice Rector, José Elías Plascencia Latour; and the Director of the Professional School of Psychology, Dr. Luis Morales López.
Giovanni Sabogal Osorio, who also blessed the pins, was in charge of the celebration.
In an emotionally charged moment, student Vanessa Gonzáles Narváez addressed a few words to her classmates on behalf of the graduating class. “I am sure that all of us are eager to begin this new stage in our training. We know there will be challenges, but we are also sure that we are prepared to face them. We have the passion, dedication and knowledge necessary to become excellent psychologists,” she said in her speech.
During the ceremony, the students received their pins, a symbol of their commitment to the psychology profession. Each of them were accompanied by their family members.
The pre-professional internship is a fundamental stage in the training of psychology students, as it allows them to put into practice the knowledge acquired in the classroom and have a real approach to the profession.
