ULADECH Católica and Municipality of Samanco sign inter-institutional cooperation agreement

The Universidad Católica Los Ángeles de Chimbote (ULADECH Católica) and the District Municipality of Samanco signed an inter-institutional cooperation framework agreement with the objective of establishing mutual collaboration and contributing to the educational development of the region.

The agreement was signed by the mayor of Samanco, C.P.C. Sebastián Obregón Reyes, and the rector of the Catholic ULADECH, Pbro. Dr. Juan Roger Rodríguez Ruiz, in a protocol ceremony held at the university facilities.

The agreement will have a duration of two (02) years and will allow for joint activities in the areas of social projection, university extension, research, as well as updating and professional specialization programs. These programs will be aimed at both the university community and the teaching, management and administrative staff of both institutions.

“This agreement is a sign of the commitment we have with the development of our community,” said the rector of ULADECH Católica.

For his part, the mayor of Samanco expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the agreement. “We are sure that this strategic alliance will allow us to work together for the good of the district and the entire region,” he said.

Also present at the ceremony were the councilors, Luis Moreno Solórzano and José Baca Vivar, as well as the manager of Local Economic Development and Social Development of the Municipality of Samanco, Ms. Paola Huamán Vela; and the mayor’s wife, Mrs. Gladiz Ramírez Llontop.

On behalf of ULADECH Católica, Ms. Doris Cano Saldaña, head of the University Social Responsibility Office, and Mr. José Luis Gutiérrez Aponte, coordinator of Environmental Management, participated.

Both institutions are committed to work together and in coordination to promote initiatives that benefit both the university community and the general population.
