The effort and academic dedication of David Santiago Tume Pazos, a graduate of the Universidad Católica Los Ángeles de Chimbote (ULADECH Católica ), have culminated in a notable achievement by obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science. At 23 years of age, David has not only stood out for his academic merits, but he has also been appointed as Subprefect of the Canoas district, in his native Punta Sal.

David began his university studies in the city of Tumbes, receiving a scholarship for four years thanks to his outstanding weighted average and his origin in a family with low economic resources. His determination and commitment to education have allowed him to overcome obstacles and reach this important milestone in his professional career.

During his time at ULADECH Católica , David not only stood out for his academic performance, but also for his active participation in extracurricular activities and academic competitions. He won a research symposium and was selected to represent youth in the Young Parliament of the Citizen Participation Office of the Congress of the Republic, thus demonstrating his leadership and skills in the political and social sphere.

David is the sixth of eight siblings and has followed the example of three of them, who also managed to graduate as professionals at ULADECH Católica , benefiting from affordable pensions that allow students from various economic conditions to access a quality university education.

His career is an inspiring testimony of how effort, dedication and support can open opportunities for talented young people, preparing them to contribute significantly to the development of their community and their country.
