The Rector of the Universidad Católica Los Ángeles de Chimbote, Pbro. Dr. Juan Roger Rodríguez Ruiz, made a valuable cultural contribution by participating in the book “Educación Intercultural y Políticas Públicas en América Latina”, by Víctor Adrián Díaz Esteves, published by Ariadna Ediciones.
The work addresses the complex relationship between intercultural education and public policies in Latin America, and will be presented in several countries of the continent. Our rector, together with scholars and academics from different countries, analyzes the challenges to integrate interculturality in educational public policies.
In Chapter 7 of the book, Rodríguez Ruíz examines rural education and the impacts of the National Education Project 2021. He points out that, despite efforts to adapt the educational model to social demands, it is crucial to improve the initial training of teachers so that they can take advantage of the inter-learning opportunities offered by heterogeneity in the classroom.
