As part of the religious and civic festivities in honor of “San Pedrito”, Los Angeles Catholic University of Chimbote joins as sponsor of the 54th National Contest of Marinera with Huayno Fugue, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the province of Santa.
The event will take place this Sunday, June 23, at 3:00 pm, in the facilities of the Coliseo Cerrado, located in the Polideportivo de Casuarinas de Nuevo Chimbote. This contest will bring together participants from all over the country, who will demonstrate their talent and elegance in this traditional Peruvian dance, fusing the marinera and the huayno in a competition that promises to be memorable.
ULADECH Catholic, as sponsor of the event, will be in charge of awarding the prize for the first place in the Adult category, reaffirming its commitment to the promotion and dissemination of the country’s cultural manifestations.
The rector of ULADECH Catholic, Pbro. Dr. Juan Roger Rodríguez Ruiz, expressed his satisfaction and enthusiasm for being part of this significant event. “It is an honor for our university to sponsor the 54th National Contest of Marinera with Huayno Fugue. We invite the whole community to participate and enjoy this traditional contest that adorns the festivities of San Pedrito,” he said.
