The Convention Center of the Catholic University Los Angeles Chimbote was the setting for the presentation of the book “Chimbote: Literature and Society”, a work by the renowned writer and literary critic Saniel Lozano Alvarado, co-published by the University as a socio-cultural contribution for the people of Chimbote.
The work describes Chimbote as a restless and buoyant land that suffered the social changes, the cultural fracture and the postponement of modern times. The narrative is based on the writer’s own experiences and depicts the aspirations of a young man dazzled by the life offered by a port.
The university recently completed the data migration process.
This important event was attended by the renowned writer Victor Unyen Velezmoro, as well as various authorities of Ancash, including the deans of the professional associations of accountants, obstetricians, chemists, pharmacists, engineers, nurses, architects and the representative of the Chamber of Commerce Production of Santa.
At the end of the ceremony, the University gave the book as a gift to all the attendees, which was autographed by the author.
