With a solemn mass in the cathedral of Nuevo Chimbote “Nuestra Señora del Carmen y San Pedro Apóstol”, the Universidad Católica Los Ángeles de Chimbote commemorated its XV anniversary as a catholic university.
Angel Ernesto Zapata Bances, Bishop of the Diocese of Chimbote; as well as our rector, Pbro. Dr. Juan Roger Rodriguez Ruiz; who conducted the solemnity together with Father Giovanni Sabogal Osorio, chaplain of the university; and Father Jaume Benaloy Marco, head of the Theology and Pastoral Office.
During their message, our university authorities highlighted the innovative and humanistic formation provided by the Catholic ULADECH, and its contribution to the evangelizing mission of the church, providing a quality service.
On November 22, 2008, the Catholic ULADECH, in its process of consolidation, was established as a Catholic university in the Cathedral of the Diocese of Chimbote, adapting its statute to the norms of canon law and the Apostolic Constitution Ex Corde Ecclesiae.
Since that date, we are members of international Catholic organizations that bring together prestigious Catholic universities in the world, such as FIUC (International Federation of Catholic Universities) and ODUCAL (Organization of Catholic Universities of America and the Caribbean).
