ULADECH Catholic University Opens the Academic Year 2024

A new cycle of learning begins!

With great enthusiasm, the Universidad Católica Los Ángeles de Chimbote officially welcomed the Academic Year 2024 in an emotional ceremony held on April 8th at the ULADECH Católica Convention Centre. The event brought together local and academic authorities, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and other members of the university community, who joined together to celebrate the beginning of a new cycle of learning and training.

The ceremony was full of symbolism and hope. The national anthem was sung, giving way to the words of welcome by His Excellency Monsignor Angel Zapata Bances, Bishop of the Diocese of Chimbote and Chancellor of our University, ‘May God bless this academic year 2024 and each of those who make up this Catholic university for the good of our country, open our hearts and make us walk with hope’ was part of his emotional message.

Dr. Juan Roger Rodríguez Ruíz, Rector of the Catholic ULADECH, highlighted in his speech the importance of education as a fundamental pillar to achieve personal and professional development, urging students to make the most of the opportunities offered by this new academic year, ‘the university is undoubtedly the best instrument that the Church offers in the search for truth. Education is an act of hope that looks to the future from the present,’ he emphasised.

Dr. José Plasencia Latour, Academic Vice Rector, in charge of the toast of honour, thanked the students enrolled this year for their trust, describing it as a year of hope in which we hope to achieve institutional licensing, which will allow us to ‘continue providing quality education to our students’.
